  1. Your system looks great! I’m still building my frame but I have the same burners. I’m debating right now on low versus high pressure. How long does it take you to heat strike water for a typical 5 gallon batch with low pressure? Do you think the high pressure is overkill for the boil kettle? Would you have done anything different?

    • Hey James,
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve never actually timed how long it takes to heat the strike water. Maybe 20-30 mins. I used low pressure for the HLT and Mash Tun because the furnace valves require low pressure. As far as I know there are no furnace valves that accept high pressure (I could be mistaken on that). So, if you are using furnace valves to control when your burners fire you will need to use low pressure. The high pressure on the boil kettle is great. Plus, because those burners are designed for high pressure they burn more efficiently.

As for doing things different… I completely over killed the steel in this rig. I would remove several of the cross members which would significantly reduce the weight. Other than that I’m very happy with the performance.

I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to contact me if you have additional questions. I love talking about this stuff 😉

      Happy Brewing,

  2. I would love to build your system it looks great!Do you have a Manuel for the build?I’m so new to all of this that its kind of overwhelming. Thanks!

    • Matt- Thanks! I don’t have a manual yet. I’ve been wanting to put one together I just haven’t had the time. I you have specific questions feel free to shoot them to me. I’d be happy to help out any way I can.

  3. Hey man great build! I’m looking to do my own version. How did you mount the burners exactly?

    • Hey thanks! I bolted the burners to a separate frame and then suspended that frame from the main frame with threaded hooks. That way I can adjust them up or down as needed. Cheers!

  4. First off, amazing build. I am currently working off of your concept using 2 low pressure and 1 high. I’ve run into a road block though. What type of regulator hose do you use from the tank to the stand (expired link) and where did you purchase the steel flex gas hoses from? I’ve looked at a few distributors of hoses online but most are only rated to run 1/2 psig. Any help would be great.

    • Trevor- I have updated the regulator hose link. Sorry about that. I found my flex hoses at a local ACE hardware store. You may be able to find them at McMaster-Carr. Let me know if you need anything else. Clay
